I am so sorry you had to battle with this disease. It was a painful way to end your life. I choose to not remember you in your pain but rather in your joy. When I think of you and remember you I see Oupa Nick sitting in the living room telling one joke after the other! That is the image I hold onto of my Oupa. I hope you are in heaven where all is healed and all is good and that you are telling jokes there!

Gong gong, we know that you are watching over us. You were a fighter and provider that always put your family first. I still remember the playground you built for us in our backyard when we were kids. Thank you for everything you did for our us and especially my mom.
